How to Fish gear guide

Spend for the next problem, not for a theoretical perfect loadout. This hub separates combat, catch pools, quest triggers and boat travel so one purchase does not starve the story route.

Four equipment routes

Every linked page keeps known values separate from figures that still need an in-build check.

01

Opening

Buy toward
Any available dependable starter weapon
Why now
Finishing catches and surviving Spider Crab matter before luxury upgrades; the Pistol is listed for Forest Island.
Avoid
Spending every coin on a rod while lacking damage.
02

Forest

Buy toward
Balanced close/mid-range damage
Why now
Giant Piranha is easier when missed attacks can be punished quickly.
Avoid
Carrying quest pickups in a full inventory.
03

Desert

Buy toward
Reliable sustained damage
Why now
Pufferfish and Blue Shark reward uptime more than a single stylish shot.
Avoid
Confusing the optional grill route with the story route.
04

Rocks

Buy toward
Accurate rifle or sniper setup
Why now
Albatross spends time at range and killscore challenges benefit from accuracy.
Avoid
Selling the Tuna body for short-term cash.
05

Volcano

Buy toward
Fully upgraded primary plus food reserves
Why now
The whale chain is longer and punishes low ammunition or recovery.
Avoid
Starting the trigger without room to preserve key bodies.
Price policy

We print a coin value only when the Patch 1.0.10 data has a documented value. “Verify in the current build” is intentional: it is safer than inventing a shop price after balance changes.

Four spending rules

Keep the route funded

  1. Finish the combat loop first. A better rod finds a target; a dependable weapon lets the crew finish, sell or preserve it safely.
  2. Separate income lures from encounter triggers. Regular lures expand repeatable catch pools. Boss lures and quest bait solve a named objective.
  3. Protect story items. Empty Beer Can, defeated Tuna and the first whale are progression tools, not convenient sale stock.
  4. Treat engines as travel improvements. Boat keys, boss hand-ins and Radar markers unlock the route. Engine spending should follow those requirements, not replace them.
