How to Fish Islet Update: What to Do in 1.1.3

A returning-player route through the Islet Update, with new achievements, Fishipedia bait help, the Tench fix and the changes to navigation and gear.

Start with 1.1.3, then choose an Islet goal

Patch 1.1.3 is the latest numbered release in the official announcements checked October 13, 2026. The main Islet content arrived in 1.1.0 on September 28; the two published follow-ups, 1.1.2 and 1.1.3, arrived September 29.

The update adds small islands, creatures, a mini-boss, a weapon, bait, items, an NPC, an outfit and achievements. It also changes island spacing. Treat the five-island walkthrough as your campaign route and use the new islets for exploration and collection.

A useful first session: update the game, check the Radar, pick one new achievement, and inspect the Fishipedia before a targeted fishing trip. You can make a clear plan without already knowing every new creature.

The October 12 developer message discusses a larger future content update, console ports and bug fixes. It gives no release date or version for that next update.

A practical route for returning players

  1. Finish updating before sailing. Close the game and let Steam finish its download. In co-op, have the host and guests check their installed versions. If Steam has not offered the patch, the 1.1.2 announcement recommends restarting Steam.
  2. Orient yourself at a familiar island. Check where the boat and Radar are, identify your next campaign destination, and agree on a meeting point with your crew. Changed island spacing makes old sailing times a poor navigation reference.
  3. Choose exploration or collection for this trip. For new items and euro goals, follow the islets, euros and bow guide. For a missing creature, start with its in-game entry and the Fishipedia checklist.
  4. Keep quest items separate from sale decisions. Before selling a catch, check whether it belongs to your active campaign objective. An optional detour is easier to finish when the next story hand-in is already accounted for.
  5. Check what actually registered. At the end of the trip, compare the game's creature entries, wallet and Steam achievements with your chosen goal. Write down the landmark or bait that worked so the next trip has a specific destination.

These are planning steps, not a required unlock sequence. The official Islet announcement does not tell players to erase an existing world or begin a new save.

The follow-up changes that matter during play

Your taskRelevant changeWhat to do next
Hunt a Drip variant1.1.3 reveals a creature's bait in Fishipedia after its first kill.Check the discovered entry before stocking bait.
Catch Tench1.1.2 repairs Tench spawning with the new bait.Update before comparing your results with September 28 reports.
Explore the islets1.1.2 enlarges mini-island Radar dots and raises new-bait pickups on the new mini island from two to three.Read your current Radar instead of relying on an old map's scale.
Adjust equipment1.1.2 adds reload rebinding, two bow skins and the option to return to iron sights.Review your bindings and available weapon options.
Buy wishbone upgrades1.1.2 changes their prices.Check the current shop amount before planning a purchase.

These changes come from the 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 announcements. The Tench repair addresses a named spawning problem; it does not establish that every missing-entry report has the same cause.

Three new goals bring the Steam list to 31

Bilingual

Earn your first euro. Use the euro-source leads to plan the trip, then check your wallet and Steam result.

Money in a bottle

Find money in a bottle. Start with the reported bottle landmark rather than treating every small island as interchangeable.

Hobin Rood

Kill a creature with an arrow. Acquiring the bow is preparation; the arrow must complete a kill.

These are the conditions on the official Steam list. Use our 31-achievement checklist to plan remaining goals, then compare completion with Steam.

Islet Update questions

Is 1.0.12 still the latest update?

No. It is an earlier patch. The October 13 review of official announcements identifies 1.1.3 as the latest numbered release.

Do the new small islands replace the five story islands?

The Islet announcement describes added small islands. Continue using the main story guide for campaign objectives, with separate exploration trips for the new content.

Is an old 28-achievement guide complete?

No. The reviewed official Steam list has 31 entries. Check Bilingual, Money in a bottle and Hobin Rood alongside the earlier goals.

Does the update provide a complete new creature list?

The official announcement confirms additional creatures but does not enumerate their names or statistics. Our 54-record launch database remains useful for its covered creatures; it is not a full Islet collection count.
