How to Fish Islets: Euros, Bow, Bottle & Wishbone

Find community-reported bow and bottle landmarks, understand euro purchases, and plan Bilingual, Money in a bottle and Hobin Rood after the Islet Update.

Choose a landmark and a goal before sailing

The bow is reported at a castle-like islet; bottle money is reported on a small sandy island with one tree. These directions come from players who found them, rather than a developer map. Use the landmarks to narrow your search and keep your Radar available for the return trip.

Make the trip about one objective: getting your first euro, finding the bottle, or obtaining the bow for an arrow kill. That gives you a useful stopping point and makes it easier to identify what remains unfinished.

The Islet Update overview explains the version changes. Old campaign maps remain useful for familiar destinations, but the update changed island spacing.

How to get euros in How to Fish

In the Lucky Bone discussion, a player reports that new islet fish and bottle money provide euros, while replies identify the bow and wishbone as euro purchases. Treat these as two acquisition leads to try, then verify the result in your current game.

  1. Check the currency symbol before fishing for a purchase. Write down whether the item wants euros or dollars and the current amount. This keeps a large balance in one currency from hiding a shortage in the other.
  2. Try one source and compare the balance. If testing a new catch, inspect the displayed sale information before committing it. If exploring for bottle money, use the landmark below.
  3. Record the result before spending. Note which catch or discovery provided the currency. A repeatable plan should start from something you observed, not an assumed exchange rate.
  4. Check Bilingual after the first euro. Steam's condition concerns earning currency. Buying an item is a separate decision.

Our existing money and upgrade tools do not convert dollars into euros. There is no verified exchange rate in the sources used here.

Find the bow, then finish an arrow kill

Follow the castle-like landmark lead, inspect the bow's purchase prompt, and compare the euro requirement with your wallet. The September 28 discussion includes follow-up replies reporting successful bow achievement completion, so its opening complaint should not be read as proof that the bow never works.

Once equipped, use a straightforward target to learn the weapon before attempting the achievement. Read the current controls and item prompts. In a group, agree that the bow user will finish this target so the result is easy to interpret.

Hobin Rood requires a kill. The Steam condition is to kill a creature with an arrow. Merely owning the bow or landing a hit does not satisfy that wording.

If Steam does not show completion, first verify that an arrow supplied the finishing hit. A bow success report does not also verify the separate Handyman bare-hands achievement. Check the achievement list for each condition individually.

Where to look for Money in a bottle

The bottle discovery replies point to a sandy islet with a single tree; another player then reports finding it too. This is a search landmark, not a universal coordinate.

  1. Approach the small island with your return route in mind and look for the reported bottle object.
  2. Check its interaction prompt and complete the available interaction.
  3. Inspect the resulting money and Steam achievement state before leaving.

If you find a similar island without the object, record its appearance and keep exploring. These reports do not establish a respawn schedule, shared credit for every co-op player, or an unlimited bottle-farming route.

Lucky Bone, wishbone and a sensible purchase check

“Lucky Bone” is the name used by the forum question; a reply calls the item a wishbone. The official 1.1.2 notes also use wishbone and say its upgrade prices were adjusted.

Check the current tooltip, currency and price at the item itself. If your immediate goal is Hobin Rood, account for the bow purchase before spending the same euro balance on an optional upgrade. If your goal is collection, decide what you want the upgrade to help with and record the effect actually described in game.

The forum's quoted luck percentage has not been independently verified here. It is not a sound basis for calculating a guaranteed Drip catch or a fixed number of cosmetic rolls.

A purchase failing because you lack euros is different from every shop interaction failing. If ordinary purchases also stop working, follow the troubleshooting checks and include your version and mod setup when reporting it.

Euros and bow questions

Are euros a real-money purchase?

The reviewed evidence describes an in-game currency: Steam has a first-euro achievement, and players report earning euros through islet content. Compare the item's price symbol with the game's wallet.

How much does the bow cost?

We have verified the community's euro-purchase report, but not a current universal price. Read the bow's current purchase prompt before planning the trip around an amount.

Does buying the bow unlock Hobin Rood?

The official condition requires an arrow kill. Equip the weapon, complete a creature kill with an arrow, and check Steam.

Where should I go if I am missing a new fish?

Use the Fishipedia guide. It explains the bait reveal, the Tench repair and how to compare your entry with the older 61/62 reports.
